How long will my new patient examination take?
New patient comprehensive examinations take 60-90 minutes and require dilation. Your appointment will be closer to an hour if you pre-fill out the new patient paperwork (on the patient forms page or may be mailed to you). New patient problem-focused appointments that do not require dilation take 30-60 minutes and also are quicker if the paperwork is completed prior to arriving at the office.
Follow-up patient visits that require dilation take an hour and problem-focused appointments are 30 minutes. If your particular evaluation requires several tests then your appointment may take longer.
